No, it isn't plastic it's PLA (polylactic acid) is made from fermented plant starch. The sugar in renewable materials such as corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp is fermented and turned into lactic acid, which is then made into "PLA".

All our PLA filament is ECO and vegan friendly. So don't worry we aren't damaging the planet!
